The Galapagos are a small archipelago off the western coast of South America. From shorelines draped in mangroves, to rugged volcanic rocks, no two islands are the same. The Galapagos is famed as an incredible place for wildlife sighting opportunities because of the island’s isolation. The uniquely diverse local wildlife never developed a fear of humans, so travelers can get up close and personal with giant tortoises, marine iguanas, Darwin’s finches, blue-footed boobies, and small Galapagos penguins.

Between the hysteria by the media about an exaggerated public health advisory, the language barrier, and sheer amount of things to do and see, I would probably still be planning this vacation if I were doing it on my own. Not to mention how much more I would be spending to stay in comparable hotels and transportation. Because Trafalgar is one of our premier partners and because they have a rating of over 95% guest satisfaction, it was easy to pick their 16-day South America Revealed itinerary.
