For my first time visiting Italy, we decided to go on the Italy Bellissimo with Trafalgar tour. My wife and I took our oldest son as a memorable graduation gift, and we are so glad that we did!

The city of Rome has been a center of the western world for most of the last 3000 years and the streets themselves are like a giant museum. There is so much to see and do in Rome and this tour was the perfect opportunity to hit all of the major sites!

Our Italy with Trafalgar tour started with an evening orientation drive through the city to see St. Peter’s basilica in the Vatican City, an independent state with some of the world’s most extra-ordinary art and antiques. This day ended with a welcome reception where we had an opportunity to meet and greet our fellow travelers at a lovely, underground, carved rock restaurant.
