When I opted to take a trip, I gravitated toward the Globus family of brands. They’ve been in the business over 90 years and, from a customer service standpoint, they’re a standout. I would be traveling with my mom and wanted the experience to be as stress-free as possible. Sailing from Basel to Amsterdam allowed us the chance to visit our German roots, cruise through the Rhine Gorge, and we would only need to unpack once – the delightful perk of a floating hotel. With that in my mind, we decided that the Romantic Rhine with Avalon, the sailing sister company of Globus, would be the perfect fit.

My Paris Explorer with Trafalgar vacation this year concentrated on Paris – the City of Light and Love. I chose this particular tour because although I had previously visited Paris in the past, it was always too short, and was only a part of an expanded itinerary. Like being offered only a small bite of a Chocolate Eclair; or a sip of fine French Wine – I knew it had not been enough, and I wanted more.
Snapping pictures in front of places you’ve been is one of the best ways to remember your journey. Everyone loves to comb through pictures and share their best shots with their friends and family, to inspire them to travel as well. Research shows that more than half of travelers plan their next destination based on pictures they have seen. So, what places are being snapped the most? Here are the most photographed landmarks around the world.

European Highlights with Trafalgar was a fast paced, dream vacation. This is the perfect trip for first time Europe travelers, who want to cover a lot of countries and see a little bit of everything, in a short period of time. We got to visit 5 countries, that I’ve never been to, over the course of 9 days. We had tons of included meals, experiences and free time.
