My family vacation with Monograms was a wonderful way to introduce my sons—ages 4 and 6—to the fascinating culture of the Mayans in Mexico. Throughout our five day trip, we were enthralled by the archaeological ruins, pleased with our attentive service from our local guides, and happy that so many travel details were pre-arranged by Monograms, which made our vacation hassle-free.
When we arrived to the Cancun airport, our personal tour guide and chauffer greeted us. I immediately felt at ease as I learned that these two very nice gentlemen would be with us for the duration of our vacation. This is the best thing about Monograms itineraries in Central and South America: you are independently escorted throughout your entire trip.Continue reading
Last summer I had the great fortune to travel to San Francisco, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Park on an itinerary crafted by Tauck and the great documentary film director, Ken Burns. The tour introduces travelers to the history of the U.S. National Parks, as well as the early battles and current efforts to create, save and expand the National Park system. We walked in the footsteps of naturalist and conservationist John Muir, who helped to preserve large tracts of California wilderness.Continue reading
Small ship cruising with Tauck is a wonderful way to explore the Central American countries of Panama and Costa Rica. We spent time on land – including two nights each in Panama City and San Jose – but most exciting was our six-night voyage aboard the recently renovated m/v Tere Moana. Carrying a maximum of 90 passengers and a crew of 60, the ship sometimes felt as if it felt as if we were on our very own yacht. The crew was extremely attentive, and we loved the elegant ambiance, roomy accommodations and gourmet dining.

Last Christmas our family celebrated the winter holidays aboard the Disney Magic®. As promised, Disney delivered an unforgettable journey. In fact, our trip began before we even set sail out of Galveston, Texas. My sons, ages 6 and 5, received a phone call from Mickey a day prior to our sailing, which brightened their day and only heightened their anticipation of the cruise. Of course, I strategically planned this call as I preregistered for the cruise. However, it shows just that extra effort that Disney puts into the whole vacation.
Travelling with Avalon Waterways was a wonderful experience. We travelled along the Black Sea and admired it’s incredible properties, additionally we also toured Romania and saw the spectacular Parliament building, we also saw Dracula’s Legendary Castle.
Our cruise with Avalon Waterways started on August 4, 2010 and ended on August 14, 2010. The experience was very comfortable, relaxing, and overwhelmingly enjoyable. It is a experience I will never forget, along with my tour in Romania.Feel free to view my photo gallery!
